Florent Volckaert – Corporate and M&A partner

Florent Volckaert has been a member of Stibbe’s Brussels Corporate and M&A team since 2014. He assists clients on a wide range of corporate matters, in both advisory and transactional contexts, designing tailored solutions. Florent’s focus areas include listed companies, public takeover offers, public-sector work, transactions involving regulated entities, corporate governance, restructurings and joint ventures.

Having lived and worked in Paris and New York, Florent brings a global perspective and a clear understanding of the needs of international clients. After graduating with a master’s degree in law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2013, Florent obtained an advanced master’s degree in economic law from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2014.

Margaux Beyer – Corporate and M&A partner

Since joining Stibbe’s Brussels office in 2014, Margaux Beyer has built a strong career in the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice, with a particular focus on private equity transactions. She has developed deep expertise across the private equity lifecycle and has mastered the broader transactional skills essential to successful dealmaking. Margaux has assisted numerous Belgian and international clients – including private equity firms and management teams – in both sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions.

Known for her pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, she brings clarity to complex matters, combining technical precision with commercial insight. Margaux graduated in law from Ghent University in 2014 and has since completed the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme at INSEAD to enhance her business and leadership capabilities.

Stefanie François – Environment and Planning partner

Her practice focuses on renewable energy projects, complex industrial processes, development and redevelopment projects, as well as waste-related matters. She has a particular interest in permitting, soil contamination, Environmental Impact Assessments and nature conservation.

As a seasoned litigator, Stefanie represents clients before national civil and administrative courts, the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Justice. She is also highly skilled in drafting legislative texts and regulations for public authorities. Her eight-month secondment to the legal department of an electricity transmission system operator gave her additional hands-on experience in her fields.

Stefanie is the author of numerous publications and is a regular speaker at seminars on her areas of expertise. She graduated in law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2012 and completed the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme at INSEAD in 2018.
