Expert meeting ‘De toekomst van compliance management bij (BRZO-) bedrijven vanuit verschillende risico perspectieven’

Stibbe, Royal HaskoningDHV en Panoptys hebben gezamenlijk de expert meeting ‘De toekomst van compliance management bij (BRZO-)bedrijven vanuit verschillende risico perspectieven’ georganiseerd.

Compliance heeft een hoge prioriteit bij bedrijven én bij de toezichthoudende overheid. Een belangrijk onderdeel hierbij is het vormgeven van risicomanagement. Bij bedrijven die vallen onder het Besluit Risico’s Zware Ongevallen (BRZO) is risicomanagement op HSEQ aspecten niet onbekend. Maar risicomanagement is volgens de nieuwe ISO 19600 een belangrijk onderdeel in compliance management en moet daarom breder worden ingezet in BRZO en niet-BRZO-bedrijven.

Abuse of economic dependence: lessons drawn from the first judgments

Short Reads - On 22 August 2020, the ban on abuse of economic dependence was implemented in Belgium (Article IV.2/1 of the Code of Economic Law). Now that almost a year has passed and the first judgments have been rendered, we assess what first lessons can be drawn from these judgments. The rulings show that the ban is regularly relied upon in court and has lowered the hurdle for plaintiffs to make their case.
