Job description

As a Junior Associate in TMT, you will:

work on high-level cases and transactions relating to new technologies (AI, blockchain, data governance, platforms, digital services,…), data protection, telecommunications law, IT-contracting, cybersecurity and cybercrime. You will handle these files and projects from A to Z;
be part of a top-tier, dynamic, passionate and driven team with excellent cross-seniority coaching capabilities. You will have the opportunity to learn and discuss the most recent developments in the field of law and technology on a regular basis;
assist different clients in large national and international projects with lawyers from various practice areas;
have the opportunity to advise, negotiate, and be involved in legal proceedings for clients in the private and public sector;
sharpen your language skills as you will work in Dutch, English and French;
receive all tools and possibilities necessary to further develop your skills and knowledge. You will be able to satisfy your ambition for high achievement via tailor-made Stibbe Academy workshops focusing on the law, new technologies, language courses, ICT and soft skills.

The ideal candidate

You hold a Belgian law degree with an excellent academic record, ideally complemented by a second master’s or post-graduate degree (LL.M.)
You are a graduating student, or you have up to 3 years of experience as a lawyer in an IT/TMT department.
You have a passion for law and technology and working on high-level, challenging cases, in which you are not afraid to take responsibility;
You have strong analytical skills and you are able to communicate your thoughts and findings in a clear, comprehensive and understandable manner;
You are fluent in Dutch, English and French;
you like working in a team to deliver excellent service;
