Stibbe advised the Belgian Buildings Agency, a federal government agency, on the construction, public law, and project financing aspects of the EUR 800 million PFI for prisons programme, for the construction of 54 new prison compounds on the basis of a DB

Stibbe assisted a consortium in its successful bid for the Belgian PPP road project for the new A11-highway between Knokke and Zeebrugge. 

Acting as project counsel in connection with the establishment of the "Benelux Secondary PPP Fund I".

Stibbe assisted the European Investment Bank (EIB) with their EUR 100 million project finance loan to finance a new hospital in Brussels.

Stibbe assisted Belgian infrastructure funds DG Infra, Inframan, DHAM and PMF (PMV) as subordinated lenders in the EUR 850 million project finance of the Northwind offshore wind power project.

Stibbe assisted the Nuclear Energy Research Centre (SCK-CEN) on the financing, construction, and licensing of its new experimental nuclear reactor Myrrha.

Advising Heijmans and Barclays on the Heijmans Capital BV joint venture. Heijmans and Barclays Infrastructure Fund Management (Bifm) are going to be partners in the for financing DBFMO (design, build, finance, maintain, operate) projects.

Stibbe assisted Re-Vive – in accordance with its values and objectives: people, planet, and profit – on the legal aspects of the EKLA project in Brussels.
 

Stibbe assisted a consortium composed of Belgacom, T-Systems International GmbH, Strabag AG, and Efkon AG with the preparation of its bid and with the negotiations and subsequent closing of the contract for the realization of the ETCS PPR project.

Stibbe advised Wind aan de Stroom and Triodos on a project finance package for the development of the extension of its wind farm on the Antwerp left bank with five extra wind turbines.

Stibbe acted as counsel to Iret Develoment in its tendering procedure, development, and negotiations of the more than EUR 100 million public–private partnership (PPP) project, which is the new police headquarters building in Antwerp.

Stibbe advised Proximus, a listed company and longstanding client, on a broad variety of matters, including innovative partnerships, regulatory compliance, M&A and finance projects, and dispute resolution.
 

Stibbe successfully assisted Limburgse Reconversiemaatschappij on the development of the new greenfield “Kristal Solar Park”.

Stibbe has advised the lenders providing finance to BAAK Blankenburg-Verbinding B.V., a consortium consisting of Ballast Nedam, DEME and Macquarie Capital, on reaching financial close in the A24 Blankenburg connection project.

Stibbe assisted the Walloon Transport Operator (OTW) with the creation of a brand new tramway network (11.7 km) including the construction of 21 stations and a new depot and the acquisition of trams in Liège, Wallonia.
