Built up over many decades, we enjoy a close working relationship with both the public and private sector. This ensures we understand the needs of each side and can effectively work in both parties’ interests.
We advise governmental authorities and other (semi) public bodies, dealing with all aspects of both drafting and interpreting relevant legislation. Thanks to our broad knowledge of administrative law, we are well positioned to advise all types of public bodies and to litigate on their behalf. We also advise private sector clients dealing with the same matters.
Our expertise includes public procurement, public contracts, planning and zoning, public transport, health, education, social housing, public office, governmental liability, state aid, subsidies and compliance and sanctions. We also have a great deal of experience dealing with complex political issues with a lot of media attention.
Our firm cooperates closely with national legislators when drafting new legislation, decrees and ministerial orders, and also when bringing national law into line with European law.
Furthermore, we litigate on disputes brought before the courts, the Council of State (Conseil d’Etat/Raad van State) or in Belgium, the Constitutional Court.
