Energy Contracts

The Dutch Minister of Climate Policy and Green Growth sets out certain first draft general principles for Contracts for Difference (CfD) for offshore and onshore wind energy projects and solar PV projects.

In the Netherlands, more than 14,000 requests to offtake electricity have been placed on waiting lists. The Minister presented eight measures that have the potential to resolve a large part of the waiting lists within the next two years.

On 26 June 2025, the Dutch energy regulator the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) published for consultation a new prioritisation framework for electricity transport capacity requests.
The ACM invites market parties to submit their views.
