Stibbe is advising a European construction company as part of the realisation of the new groundbreaking university building of the University of Groningen, which will become one of the largest university buildings in the Netherlands.

After the start of the project, the corona pandemic and then the war in Ukraine delayed the project considerably. These circumstances left the parties at an impasse over the completion of the project and the culpability for the delays on both sides. Stibbe successfully assisted the company in negotiating a settlement agreement which was reached in the beginning of 2024.
