Stibbe is advising a leading European construction company in a dispute with main contractor Air Products concerning the alleged termination of the contract for the construction of the Zuidbroek nitrogen plant in Groningen.

The €500 million project is vital for securing the future gas supply in the Netherlands, as the nearly completed plant will make imported gas suitable for the Dutch grid by adding nitrogen.
Stibbe represents the construction company in ongoing arbitration proceedings before the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) and has successfully acted for the company in preliminary relief proceedings on the lifting of pre-judgement attachments.
