Stibbe advises BN-TAV joint venture on construction of sustainable new A pier at Schiphol Airport

Stibbe advised the joint venture of Ballast Nedam and TAV Construction (BN-TAV) in relation to the construction of the new A pier at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The new A pier comprises eight gates, covers an area of 55,000 square metres and will be the most sustainable pier of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Stibbe currently represents the BN-TAV joint venture in a major dispute with Schiphol concerning claims exceeding €200 million, arising from Schiphol’s termination of the construction contract for the A pier in November 2021. In June 2025, Amsterdam District Court ruled that Schiphol wrongfully terminated the contract with BN-TAV.
