Tom specialises in EU competition and consumer law. He advises on a broad range of matters, including cartel investigations, abuse of dominance cases, unfair commercial and trading practices, IP-related issues, and merger control.

Tom specialises in EU competition and consumer law. He advises on a broad range of matters, including cartel investigations, abuse of dominance cases, unfair commercial and trading practices, IP-related issues, and merger control.
He holds a PhD in Law from KU Leuven. His doctoral research focused on EU competition law’s interaction with intellectual property rights, the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, and the regulation of unfair trading practices between businesses.
He also holds a master’s degree in Law and Economics (cum laude) from Utrecht University, and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard University, which he pursued with the support of the Fulbright Program, Harvard Law School’s Gammon Fellowship and Boas Scholarship, and the Cultuurfonds.
