Thijs specialises in complex commercial and corporate litigation and arbitration. In legal proceedings, he represents a range of both Dutch and international clients, from accountancy firms to leading businesses.

His practice involves a wide range of civil liability issues, including disputes concerning various types of contracts, tort litigation and professional liability disputes. He regularly conducts legal proceedings in corporate issues relating to post-M&A disputes, director's liability, and proceedings before the Enterprise Court of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Thijs also advises on corporate governance matters.
Thijs holds a Master of Laws in Private Law from Amsterdam University (2018) as well as a Master of Science in Economics & Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2017).
Thijs was editor of Corporate Law Updates, which provides a clear overview of the latest case law in the field of corporate law (on a weekly basis).
