Pjotr Broere specialises in complex corporate litigation, advising on a wide range of corporate law matters.
As a litigator and corporate law advisor, he focuses on issues and disputes relating to corporate governance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and directors’ liability. He regularly represents clients in proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
He obtained a PhD from the University of Nijmegen with a doctoral thesis on the costs of inquiry proceedings and has written numerous articles and case commentaries on various corporate law issues.
He is one of the editors of the standard work on inquiry proceedings (Handboek Enquêterecht), currently serves as a research fellow at the Van der Heijden Institute (the University of Nijmegen's center for corporate law), and is a regular contributor to the leading corporate law journal Ondernemingsrecht. He is also a co-author of Wolters Kluwer's commentary on corporate law (Groene Serie Rechtspersonen).
