Stibbe assisted Foxconn in its majority investment in Magnax

Stibbe assisted Foxconn with the acquisition of Magnax, a Belgian developer of axial‑flux electric motors, through Foxconn’s subsidiary Pan International. The transaction involved a EUR 35.5 million capital injection in exchange for a majority shareholding, with existing investors, including SFPIM, Hirschvogel and BIG Capital, remaining on board.

The transaction proceeds will support the acceleration of Magnax’ growth, including the establishment of a new production facility in China, where large‑scale production is expected to begin next year. Magnax’s research and development activities will continue to be based in Belgium.
