Investment Screening Handbook

Sophie Van Besien, Nicolas Pradel and Roos Elemans have contributed to the Investment Screening Handbook (Handboek Investeringstoetsing), which was published on 18 March.

This handbook provides a comprehensive legal framework for lawyers active in the mergers and acquisitions practice who are dealing with the increasing regulation of foreign investments.

Investment screening is featuring ever more prominently on the agenda of companies and their advisers. Governments across Europe are tightening their regulations to protect strategic interests, which has direct consequences for the structuring and approval of cross-border transactions. The Investment Screening Handbook provides insight into Dutch legislation in this area and current developments, placing these within the broader European context.

The BeLux chapter, written by Sophie Van Besien, Nicolas Pradel and Roos Elemans, covers the specific FDI screening mechanisms in Belgium and Luxembourg. The handbook thereby offers a valuable BeNeLux perspective for lawyers and companies operating in the three countries and faced with varying national screening regimes.

With our integrated BeNeLux offering in the field of Foreign Direct Investment, we assist clients at all stages of investment screening.

The book is available in Dutch for purchase here.
