- Ballast Nedam – Landmark Infrastructure Dispute: Tim advised Ballast Nedam in a €500 million dispute over the Zuidbroek nitrogen plant, a project critical to the Netherlands’ gas supply.
- Eurogrit – Nationwide Asbestos Litigation: Tim guided Eurogrit through one of the largest industrial liability cases in the Netherlands, affecting over 800 sites.
- Box Consultants – Precedent-Setting Privilege Case: Tim secured the discontinuation of criminal proceedings against Box Consultants after proving structural violations of attorney-client privilege.
- Vantage Deepwater v. Petrobras – Cross-Border Enforcement: Tim enforced a USD 622 million arbitral award against Petrobras, coordinating Dutch and international proceedings to recover assets.
- BC Partners / United Group – Governance and Shareholder Dispute: Tim successfully defended BC Partners before the Enterprise Chamber, dismissing a shareholder investigation petition and protecting corporate control.
- Vale – Multijurisdictional Mass-Claims Litigation: Tim represents Vale in a €1,5 billion mass-damage case following a Brazilian dam failure, involving 78,000 claimants across multiple jurisdictions.
- Norsk Hydro – Amazon Environmental Mass Claims: Tim represents Norsk Hydro, the world’s leading aluminium and renewable energy company, in a series of mass damage claims alleging environmental harm by its affiliates in the Amazon region
Tim teaches at several legal academies. Besides his professional capabilities as a lawyer, Tim is a very active member of the Supervisory Board of the TEAM ALZHEIMER Foundation.
He has a master’s in law from Leiden University.
