He regularly acts for listed companies, large multinationals and private equity funds on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance and listing rules. Maarten also has a background in cross-border patent, trade mark and copyright litigation before EU courts and national courts at all levels, including the Netherlands Supreme Court and has published a book on the protection of trade secrets.
Maarten has a bachelor‘s degree in International Business Law and master’s degree in Corporate law from Leiden University (2019), where he graduated cum laude.
Next to his work as a lawyer at Stibbe, Maarten is co-founder and advisory board member of the Rapenburgrace, a foundation and event focused on spinal cord injury research.
