Pieter Schütte

Pieter is a member of our capital markets group with a focus on the more complex capital markets and corporate transactions. 

His capital markets experience includes initial public offerings, rights issues and secondary offerings. In addition, he has been involved in a number of large and complex corporate restructurings over the past few years, including the first successful restructuring of a European CMBS loan.

Pieter co-wrote the "IBA Float Guide for The Netherlands (How to Float a Company on the Dutch Securities Exchange)". 

Pieter has a master’s in law from Utrecht University.

ESMA Consultation Papers regarding Technical Advice

Short Reads - On 6 July 2017, the European Securities and Markets Authority (“ESMA”) published three consultation papers setting forth technical advice in respect of prospectus simplification efforts.  The recently-published Prospectus Regulation requires the European Commission (the “EC”) to adopt delegated acts in a number of areas within 18 months after the regulation’s entry into force, and in February 2017 the EC formerly requested ESMA to draft technical advice in connection therewith.
