Nynke Brouwer new senior associate at Stibbe

We are pleased to announce that Nynke Brouwer will be joining Stibbe’s Amsterdam office as senior associate. Her appointment as from 13 June 2022 will further strengthen our TMT/IP practice.

She is an expert in cybersecurity and data protection, and has specific knowledge in the field of cyber insurance. She regularly provides incident response services after cyber incidents, such as ransomware attacks, and has extensive experience with advising a wide range of clients, including insurers and brokers, healthcare institutions and governments.

Nynke worked at Dirkzwager for eleven years. She was part of the Dirkzwager Cybersecurity team, which she headed since the beginning of 2021.

Digital Law Up(to)date: The confidentiality of letters would become the confidentiality of private communications

Articles - The Belgian Parliament published a proposal to amend article 29 of the Belgian Constitution (see here). The provision now states that the “confidentiality of letters is inviolable”. If the proposal is adopted, article 29 should read as follows: “The confidentiality of private communications is inviolable, except in the cases and conditions established by law”.
