Marnix Wallinga contributes a chapter to the book ‘Financial Regulation and Civil Liability in European Law’.

The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the interplay between EU financial regulation and civil liability. It explores this interrelationship in order to determine whether a coordinated approach has been adopted. Marnix's contribution is titled ‘MiFID I & MiFID II and Private Law: Towards a European Principle of Civil Liability?’ The contribution explores the question whether EU investor protection regulation should include a principle of civil liability in order to encourage and facilitate its private enforcement by aggrieved investors.

This book is ideally suited for (legal) experts who deal with financial regulation and private law on a daily basis.
