Dyme has developed an innovative app to help users keep track of their finances. For example, the app uses bank data and the latest machine learning technologies to help its users manage various payments, such as subscriptions to Netflix or Spotify. The Dyme app allows users to see all of their recurring payments in one overview. Dyme also allows users to cancel and change subscriptions with a single click, without ever having to leave the app. Stibbe will assist Dyme with the PSD2 licence application and related privacy and consumer law issues.
Stibbe is delighted to welcome Dyme to its StartsUP program, which started in September 2017 with the Excess Materials Exchange (EME) company. The Stibbe StartsUP program stems from a desire to help young companies grow in the right direction. Good legal advice is crucial for any company starting out but such advice is often too expensive. Instead of having a traditional client-lawyer relationship, the approach of the Stibbe StartsUP program allows both parties to learn from each other. Therefore, innovative strength is one of the most important factors for Stibbe in selecting companies to join its StartsUp program. This may be because the startup either operates in a new market or faces new and often challenging legal questions, or both - which is the case for Dyme.
