As of 1 January 2020, David Orobio de Castro, Michael Molenaars and Job van Hooff will form the new board of Stibbe in Amsterdam. David Orobio de Castro has been on the board of Stibbe since 2016 and succeeds Derk Lemstra as managing partner. After a period of six years on the board, Derk will once again fully focus on advising clients in the field of corporate law.

David Orobio de Castro: "It is with great pleasure that I take over this role from Derk. Stibbe has done well in recent years and is on course for the coming years. I look forward to working with Michael and Job, as well as our other top specialists, to provide clients with the right combination of legal disciplines in the face of the growing demand for high-quality legal advice."

Michael Molenaars and Job van Hooff will both join as new board members. Michael is a tax lawyer and head of the tax team in Amsterdam. Under his leadership, Stibbe has been named Netherlands Tax Firm of the Year three times in recent years by the International Tax Review. Job specialises in restructuring and insolvency cases and has been a partner at Stibbe since 2015.

Derk Lemstra: "It has been a great pleasure for me to lead the firm over the past six years. In addition, I found it a great privilege to work with so many talented and passionate people. I wish the new board the best of luck with this wonderful task and entrust it to them."
