BREEAM Excellent certification for Stibbe Amsterdam

In September the Amsterdam office of Stibbe received a BREEAM Excellent (four stars) quality mark from the Dutch Green Building Council. Key words for the new Stibbe office in Amsterdam are transparency, flexibility and cooperation.

The design of the new building (15,000 m2) is light and open to facilitate the new way of working at Stibbe. The most important eco-friendly aspects of the building include the heat and cold storage installation (ATES/WKO), sustainable use of materials and incentives to use the public transport. Moreover, different spaces are linked together or separated by glass. By using glass and carefully selected building materials, the office space has been constructed to make the most of natural daylight. This theme continues throughout the entire building so that even the partition walls add to the feeling of transparency and interconnection. Due to the shape of the building and the glass facade there are three wide angles on each floor with panoramic views across the city.
