Stibbe attends IBA’s conference on Mergers and Acquisitions in the technology sector in Seoul

IBA’s Corporate and M&A Law Committee, the IBA Technology Law Committee and the IBA Asia Pacific Regional Forum organize a conference on Mergers and Acquisitions in the technology sector in Seoul on 19 and 20 November. The focus of the conference is “Current Trends in Asia and Beyond”.

 

Erik Valgaeren, partner in our Brussels office, speaks on a session dedicated to technology-driven M&A deals. Jan Bogaert, partner in our Hong Kong office, attends the conference as well.

Bovendien vervalt op 1 januari 2020 de wettelijke streefcijferregeling, waarbij  ‘grote’ vennootschappen streven naar ten minste 30% vrouwen en 30% mannen in hun besturen en raden van commissarissen (RvC's). De SER adviseert het kabinet nu om diverse maatregelen te nemen, waaronder een wettelijk quotum van ten minste 30% vrouwen in de RvC’s van beursvennootschappen. Advice from the Social and Economic Council (SER): potential diversity quota for supervisory boards of listed companies

Short Reads - Read this article in Dutch According to the Dutch government, the increase in the proportion of women in top positions is lagging behind its objectives. In addition, the statutory gender diversity rule, whereby 'large' companies aim for at least 30% women and 30% men on their management and supervisory boards, will expire on 1 January 2020. The SER has now advised the Dutch government to take various measures, including a statutory gender diversity quota of at least 30% women and 30% men on the supervisory boards of listed companies.
