We advise and assist energy companies and large industrial companies in respect of negotiating and drafting agreements, M&A transactions (including controlled auctions), projects, commercial contracting, regulatory matters, transportation issues, emissions trading, and disputes. We have extensive experience in matters involving national and European competition and regulatory authorities. We assist both private clients and public authorities with energy-related questions.
Our team specialises in large-scale energy projects in both the Benelux and beyond. We have extensive expertise in project development in the energy sector, including projects related to onshore and offshore wind parks, power plants, biomass, solar, CCS, hydrogen, geothermal and district heating, grid construction and maintenance, pipelines, etc. In addition to full project management, we also have specific expertise in a wide range of project and commercial contracts (including FIDIC, EPC, O&M, corporate and utility PPA).
Furthermore, we provide a full range of services in energy regulatory matters, including advice and assistance concerning licensing, subsidies, electricity and gas sector regulation, energy and CO₂ taxes, climate change policy, EU ETS emission allowances, (renewable) electricity and gas certificates, rulemaking proceedings, administrative and judicial litigation in respect of enforcement actions including under REMIT, regulatory filings and approvals, and public affairs in general.
