Manon Cremers

Manon is a civil law notary and specialises in corporate law, particularly in relation to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and other matters of company law for national and international (listed) clients.

Her work includes the incorporation of companies, partnerships, cooperative associations and foundations, corporate acquisitions and disposals, (cross-border) mergers and demergers, security rights (pledge and mortgage), share issues and transfers, and listings and delistings.

Manon studied at the VU University Amsterdam and at the University of Victoria, British Colombia, Canada. In 1997, she gained a Master of Law from VU University.

She was appointed civil law notary in 2008.

Manon is member of the Advisory Committee for the NCR Cooperative Corporate Governance Code and she is editor of Tijdschrift voor Jaarrekeningenrecht, a magazine for financial reporting.

Act implementing the Directive on disclosure of non-financial information and diversity

Short Reads - On 5 December 2014, the EU Directive on disclosure of non-financial and diversity information in the directors’ report (2014/95/EU) entered into force. This Directive was implemented in the Netherlands by i) the Implementation Act, which entered into force on 6 December 2016, ii) the Disclosure of Diversity Policy Decree, which entered in force on 31 December 2016, and iii) the Disclosure of Non-Financial Information Decree, which entered into force on 24 March 2017.
