Jan is an expert in his field, in which climate change and the energy transition have prominent place. He advises and litigates on behalf of companies and governmental bodies in complex and large-scale developments concerning, for example, housing, retail, energy (including wind) and leisure.

Jan has a master’s degree in public and private law from VU University Amsterdam, and completed his Grotius post graduate course in planning and environment cum laude. He regularly publishes and lectures on his expertise.
