Annemieke Zwanenburg
Her focus areas include public regulation and intervention, oversight and enforcement, and governance and funding in the (semi-)public domain and regulated markets. She has a dual background in public and corporate law. This enables her to align internal organisational dynamics with the external regulatory landscape. Her work sits at the intersection of law, policy, and public administration. She represents clients before national and European courts.
Her practice focuses on the public domain and regulated sectors. These include financial services, energy, education, and media. Her perspective is further informed by her involvement in Stibbe's ESG focus group. She also spent a year within the Financial Regulatory team working on supervision, governance, and compliance matters.
Annemieke completed the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme at INSEAD. She obtained an LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Utrecht University with electives in European Law. She also obtained an LL.M. in Corporate Law with electives in European Market Regulation and ESG. Additionally, she completed the LL.B. Honours Programme at Utrecht Law College.
Annemieke served on Stibbe's Pro Bono Committee for several years. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Pro Bono Connect.
