Stibbe advised the Belgian Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport on suspension-and-annulment proceedings before the Council of State regarding night-flight routes as well as a civil litigation before ordinary courts.

For more than a decade, Jan Bouckaert is the designated counsel to the Belgian State regarding the operations of Brussels Airport. Besides offering general legal advice to the Belgian State, he also represents the State in various legal proceedings before the Belgian courts, the Council of State, and the Constitutional Court. The disputes relate to various EU environmental matters, including the Aarhus Convention, the SEA and other Directives, constitutional and administrative matters, air traffic regulations, etc.
