We are Stibbe Patents specialists

Our IP lawyers are experts in technologically complex patent disputes, working alone or with the assistance of accredited patent agents.

Patents

We have a strong track record in patent disputes and related issues, guiding clients through all legal and technical complexities to help them decide on the best strategy.

We advise world-leading life sciences (pharmaceutical, medical equipment) and industrial companies, non-governmental organisations, research institutes and public authorities. Our broad patent dispute expertise covers many sectors including biotechnology, financial, automobile industry and the plant, food and beverages sector.

Of particular note is the experience in our offices with the ex parte seizure procedure. Such special knowledge ensures they can quickly master case facts that are usually very complex. This ability is critical when rapid action is needed for example if the case needs to urgently go before the court or indeed, in appeals against a seizure order.

We also have strong experience in multi-jurisdictional patent disputes where parallel proceedings are conducted in several countries on the basis of corresponding patent rights.
