11 April 2018: Stibbe hosts OO&R symposium on 'Market Abuse'
Market abuse
The market abuse regime has developed over the last few decades against an often challenging and turbulent backdrop. The European Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), which came into effect in July 2016, was introduced to further harmonise the EU regime on market abuse. However, despite efforts to provide a standard framework for EU market regulation, some ambiguities and bottlenecks remain in practice. These and other aspects of market abuse will be highlighted from a practical and theoretical perspective by prominent speakers: Professor Steven Hjink (Stibbe), Professor Daan Doorenbos (Stibbe), Tim Stevens (Allen & Overy), Paul-Willem van Gerwen (AFM) and Jerry Hoff (Hoff Advocaten).
All participants in the symposium will receive a copy of the Market Abuse Manual.
