Mieke specialises in Dutch and international tax law, with a particular focus on tax controversy and tax advice.

She has experience in a broad range of tax controversy issues, including disputes with the Dutch tax authorities and domestic and international civil law disputes with a tax component, and is a member of Stibbe's tax controversy practice. 

Mieke furthermore advises a wide range of clients, including private, listed, domestic, international and multinational companies on complex tax matters.

Mieke holds master’s degrees from the University of Chicago Law School (LLM, 2019) and from Radboud University (Dutch Corporate Law LLM, 2018 and Dutch Tax Law LLM, 2018).

She has written various articles on procedural tax law. Mieke’s master’s thesis on cross-border conversions (Grensoverschrijdende omzettingen in de praktijk) was furthermore published in 2018.

Mieke is also an aspiring member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers and a member of the board of the Young Association of Tax Advisers.
