Victorien advises private equity firms and other asset managers on all legal and regulatory aspects of the structuring, formation, distribution and ongoing operation of regulated and unregulated investment funds. His practice focuses on private investment funds (buyout, venture capital, mezzanine, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, fund of private funds, etc.) and their related operations and transactions, including the structuring of co-investment arrangements and carried interest entitlements. Victorien also assists investors, including major international institutional investors, in relation to their portfolio investments. His areas of expertise also encompass the legal and regulatory aspects of the structuring, formation and operations of pension funds and pension pooling vehicles.

Over the years, Victorien has become an experienced investment funds lawyer. In addition to his legal knowledge, he has developed excellent project management skills to bring large cross-border projects with multiple parties and interests to a good end.

He holds a master's degree in Franco-British business law from the University of Rennes 2. He also obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of East Anglia, a postgraduate degree in international business law and management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Paris) and the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), a postgraduate degree in English and North-American business law from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne as well as a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Duke Law School.

Victorien is actively involved with the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA). He is a regular guest speaker and panelist at conferences, and he lectures on fund-related topics for several training institutes.
