Diogo Duarte de Oliveira leads the Luxembourg tax team. He advises investment firms (private equity, real estate, NPLs) and multinational companies on their fundraising structures, cross-border holding, financing and IP strategies.
Diogo cooperates with investment funds specialists regularly to advise GPs and LPs on the tax structuring of regulated and unregulated fund structures, such as AIFs, securitization vehicles, and others. In addition, he assists family offices and HNWIs in organizing private wealth.
He is a member of the Luxembourg bar, the Portuguese bar, the International Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association. He is also a member of various Luxembourg working groups focusing on tax matters, notably within AmCham and the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) analyzing the impact of Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base.
Diogo writes often in renowned international tax journals and is as a regular guest speaker at international conferences. He co-authored the Luxembourg chapter of BNA’s 2007 Private Equity Special Report, Bloomberg’s BNA Tax Planning International, Luxembourg’s Exchange of Information under Tax Treaties 2014, and the Luxembourg chapter of ICLG’s 2016 International Comparative Legal Guide to Private Equity.
