Stibbe advised private equity firm Rhône Group and The Chatterjee Group on the joint acquisition of McDermott International, Inc.’s Lummus Technology Group, a leading licensor of proprietary petrochemicals, refining, gasification and gas processing technologies, and a supplier of proprietary catalysts and related engineering.

The transaction with a total value of USD 2.7 billion was completed on 30 June 2020. In this transaction Stibbe worked together with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York.
