Light rail is an important solution for traffic congestion in the Randstad. On Thursday 29 March, Stibbe will host the "Private Financing of Light Rail in the Netherlands" meeting in cooperation with the International Project Finance Association (IPFA).

Experts, managers and politicians agree: public transport in the Randstad must be expanded to prevent further traffic congestion. Light rail seems to be an ideal solution. However, as no public funding will be available in the near future, private financing will play an important role in funding light rail projects. During the meeting, Stibbe, IPFA and the other attendees will discuss the future and funding of light rail in the Netherlands. keynote speakers include Jaap Bierman (HTM), Carolien Gehrels (Arcadis), David Orobio de Castro (Stibbe), Gideo Tilburgs (Laing) and Pieter Meulendijk (SNC Lavalin).
