LPEA, Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, organises a conference in Luxembourg, which brings on stage General Partners (GPs) and Limited Partners (LPs) to discuss and showcase the private equity sector from the perspective of local practitioners, together with additional contributions from guest speakers specially invited to the event.

Stibbe Luxembourg is a proud sponsor of this event, which some of our lawyers will attend.

 

The conference targets private equity and venture capital managers as well as family offices, wealth managers  and other types of asset managers who can find in this conference an opportunity to learn more about the PE/VC asset class.

This half-day event, taking place on April 25th at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, will focus on the contribution of private equity to the economy and will bring on stage case studies that demonstrate the sector’s impact in the overall society. With an agenda composed of GPs, LPs and entrepreneurs, one can expect first-hand testimonials and compelling perspectives that extend further beyond Luxembourg.

With 330 participants in 2017, the majority coming from the asset management community, LPEA Insights is the best setting to meet fellow GPs and LPs, as well as other asset managers exploring their way into the asset class.

This year, LPEA Insights starts earlier!
LPEA will host two “pre-Insights” lunch meetings focusing on Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and Impact Investment.

Short Reads - Vandaag is de Wet tot implementatie van de Herziene aandeelhoudersrechtenrichtlijn (“SRD II”) (“Implementatiewet”) in het Staatsblad gepubliceerd. SRD II beoogt effectieve en duurzame aandeelhoudersbetrokkenheid bij beursgenoteerde vennootschappen te bevorderen. De Implementatiewet introduceert nieuwe regels op het gebied van bezoldiging van bestuurders en commissarissen, related party transactions, identificatie van aandeelhouders, doorgifte van informatie in de keten en facilitering van (stem)rechten.

A new Act on the Supervision of Trust Offices

Articles - Roderik Vrolijk and Soeradj Ramsanjhal published an article in the Dutch Financial Law Review as a follow-up on their article two years ago in the same journal. The authors specifically shed light on the customer due diligence and open norms of the new Act on the Supervision of Trust Offices 2018, that entered into force on 1 January 2019.
