On Friday 30 October, Wouter Geldhof will chair during the 2-days EU Energy Law & Policy Workshop in Florence, Italy the session about Network Codes: Implementation and enforcement.

During this workshop, legal practitioners, regulators, policy makers and academics will discuss energy law and policy issues of cross-cutting interest. The workshop spans over two days and consists of six sessions, covering the following topics:

1) Big energy data

2) The new market design initiative and regional electricity markets

3) Renewable energy auctions RES across Europe

4) The future of the LNG market (roundtable)

5) Network Codes: Implementation and enforcement

6) Electricity storage

Articles - Following the Achmea judgement of the CJEU, the European Commission issued a new document providing guidance on the protection of cross-border EU investments. In this communication, which is not binding from a legal perspective but reflects the EU Commission’s view on this topic, the EU Commission confirms, among others, that the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) arbitration mechanism cannot be applied in a dispute between an EU investor and an EU Member State.

Les premiers plans d’aménagement directeurs sont en cours d’élaboration !

Articles - A la suite de la réforme du CoBAT intervenue par l’ordonnance du 30 novembre 2017, le Gouvernement bruxellois a adopté, le 3 mai 2018 plusieurs mesures réglementaires indispensables à la mise en œuvre des « plans d’aménagement directeurs » (PAD). Le Ministre-Président a, pour sa part, donné, le 8 mai 2018, pour instruction à Perspective.brussels (bureau bruxellois de la planification) d’entamer le travail d’élaboration des projets de PAD pour plusieurs pôles stratégiques de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale (Mediapark, Loi, anciennes casernes d’Ixelles, etc).
