By public transport or on foot

From Amsterdam Central Station
From Amsterdam Central Station, the National Maritime Museum can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. When leaving the station, continue walking straight for around 90 metres, before turning left onto Prins Hendrikkade. Continue on this street beyond the IJ Tunnel. The road then bends to the left over the water; at this point, you have reached the National Maritime Museum.

From the station, the National Maritime Museum can be reached by bus in 10 minutes.

Bus 48 and 22 (towards Borneo-eiland) both stop in front of the museum, at the Kattenburgerplein stop. Both buses depart from the space in front of Amsterdam Centraal Station.

By car

From The Hague / Rotterdam
On the A10 towards Ringweg Zuid, take the Amsterdam RAI turnoff (junction S109) towards Centrum/RAI/Rivierenbuurt. After 450 metres, turn right onto Europaboulevard. After 900 metres, turn right onto Rooseveltlaan. After 1.9 km, leave the roundabout by the third exit (Wibautstraat (S112)). After 2.6 km, take a slight right turn onto Meester Visserplein. After 400 metres, turn right onto Anne Frankstraat, where you can park in the Parkeergarage Markenhoven car park.

From Breda / Utrecht / Eindhoven
On the A2 (E35) towards Amsterdam at the Amstel interchange (‘knooppunt’), take the A2 towards Amsterdam. After 2.3 km, turn right onto President Kennedylaan. After 1 km, go onto the Berlagebrug (bridge). After 450 metres, leave the roundabout by the third exit (Wibautstraat (S112)). After 2.6 km, take a slight right turn onto Meester Visserplein. After 400 metres, turn right onto Anne Frankstraat, where you can park in the Parkeergarage Markenhoven car park.

From Arnhem
At the Watergraafsmeer interchange (‘knooppunt’) on the A10, take the Ringweg Oost towards the A10. After 3 km, exit at the Duivendrecht turnoff (junction S112). After 400 metres, turn left onto Gooiseweg towards Centrum. After 1.9 km, leave the roundabout by the first exit (Wibautstraat (S112)). After 2.5 km, take a slight right turn onto Meester Visserplein. After 400 metres, turn right onto Anne Frankstraat, where you can park in the Parkeergarage Markenhoven car park.

Parking
Paid parking is available in the vicinity of the National Maritime Museum, on Kattenburgerstraat. However, the Parkeergarage Markenhoven car park is a better option.

Parkeergarage Markenhoven is located at Anne Frankstraat 220, 1011 MP, AMSTERDAM. From here, turn right and walk for 80 metres. Then turn left onto Nieuwe Herengracht. After 300 metres, turn right onto Prins Hendrikkade. After 50 metres, stay on the right of Prins Hendrikkade (see map).
