Jean-Paul van den Berg

Jean-Paul is the resident tax partner of Stibbe's New York office. He advises on international and domestic Dutch tax matters. His areas of expertise include major public and private cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions (fund formation and investments), tax structuring, structured finance, debt restructurings and corporate reorganizations. He also provides consultancy on international and domestic tax matters, such as the application of tax treaties and EU law. He is a regular speaker and author of articles in his practice area. In the New York office, Jean-Paul works in an integrated team with corporate and finance lawyers. Previously, Jean-Paul worked in Amsterdam and from 2002-2005 at Stibbe’s London office. He is an active member of the International Fiscal Association.
