Martin Ubbens

Martin has proven expertise advising a broad range of large multinational companies in complex multi-jurisdictional cases such as corporate litigation, domestic and international arbitration, and mergers and acquisitions.

Furthermore, Martin has represented client in cases arising from all major industry sectors on many issues including shareholders’ disputes, directors’ liability, class action claims, corporate governance, and disputes regarding mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has experience advising in international disputes.

From 2015 to 2016, Martin was based at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York as a member of their International Dispute Resolution Group.

Martin has a master’s in Dutch private law and corporate law (cum laude) from the University of Groningen (2010) and has studied East Asian Business law at Osaka University (2009). He also attended the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme (2015).

Martin is a member of the Dutch Bar Association and the Vereniging Corporate Litigation.
