The European Services Directive after Appingedam

Seminar
NL Law
Stibbe, together with Bureau Stedelijke Planning, is organising a seminar on 5 November on the most recent relevant case law following the Appingedam case. Three months after the final judgment, additional case law from the Council of State has been published concerning the significance of the Services Directive for branching rules and other restrictions on establishment. On 10 October, guidelines titled 'How to deal with the Services Directive in spatial retail policy' will also be published.

In this seminar, Jan van Oosten (lawyer at Stibbe) and Toine Hooft (Principal Consultant Retail at Bureau Stedelijke Planning) will give their views and interpret Appingedam's consequences for practice.

The seminar is specifically intended for, and of particular interest to, developers of commercial real estate, retailers and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Public Administration officials of municipalities and other authorities.
