Stibbe advises Flemish government

Stibbe assisted the Flemish government with the management and restructuring of three regional airports in Flanders (Ostend-Bruges, Kortrijk-Wevelgem, Antwerp).

This complex case involved lawyers specialising in public law, corporate law, finance, tax, employment, etc. We a.o. secured a tax ruling successfully for our client regarding several challengeable topics: the VAT treatment of governmental staff who are placed at the private airport operator’s disposal and the VAT consequences of subsidies granted to the airport operator.
