Water and Waste

We have a very strong presence in the area of environmental protection legislation, ensuring both domestic and international clients receive tailor-made solutions for any given matter or concern.

Our expertise includes water and waste management, competition matters, (public) procurement matters, prevention and clean-up of air and water pollution and management of hazardous substances. Furthermore, we handle many regulatory issues such as soil and waste issues, surface and groundwater captation and environmental taxes. We are also involved in waste valorisation projects such as energy conversion parks and renewable electricity and heat production based on the biomass fraction in waste.

With regards to waste processing, we advise large participants including processors, collectors, transporters, brokers, suppliers, governments and governmental bodies. The transactions we handle are both diverse and complex ranging from environmental law and permit applications, dumping site regulations, waste transport and waste processing.

Our cohesive team of lawyers also specialises in advising on water processing, discharge water, extract groundwater, deposit dredging spoil, groundwater pollution and building, financing and exploitation of sewage treatment plants. We also assisted with the implementation of the Water Framework Directive and have extensive experience in procedures on EU legislation relating to water.

Internationally, we handle all cross-border matters through close cooperation with top-tier firms in other jurisdictions around the world.
