A speedy selection process
If you are selected to proceed to the next stage, you will be offered an interview which will be conducted by the partner(s), counsel(s) and/or manager(s) with whom you would work. This first interview will take about an hour at our office (and it will give you an opportunity to experience the central location and easy access to our office building in the heart of Luxembourg’s financial district).
They will tell you about their expectations and the way they organize work within their teams. This would be the best time to establish a connection with your potential colleagues, and ask them about all the specific questions you have concerning your future collaboration with them and the tasks you will be assigned.
If you meet our expectations during the first interview, and we yours, we will arrange to have a second interview with you. In the second interview, you will meet one or two members of the Recruitment Commission. During this interview, we will cover issues such as your legal or technical knowledge, critical thinking, motivation, language skills, social sensitivity, and so on.
If you meet our expectations during this second interview, and we yours, we will give you an offer in writing to join our firm. We usually ask that you reply to our offer within two weeks after you’ve received it.
It’s as simple as that.
For summer trainees it’s even more simple. How?
After a first, CV-based selection, you might be qualified for an interview with a member of the HR team. We start these interviews in the fall of each year. A final selection of candidates is made from those we interviewed. We recruit around 4 summer trainees each year.
